ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLIES

Our warranty states that if a replacement is not available your money will be refunded.

We provide a 90-day refund on the following parts:

  • Engines
  • Transmissions
  • Rear Axle assy
  • Hybrid batteries

On engine assy accessories we do not warranty water pumps, distributors, carburetors, plug wires, fuel pumps.

We do not guarantee or provide refunds on labor and parts installation performed by third parties.

Tapatio Auto Parts is not liable for any damages caused by misuse, incorrect installation, modification of the product, accidents, neglect, or normal wear and tear.

All of our engines have Tapatio markings and heat tabs, if an engine is overheated warranty will be automatically void.

A warranty would be automatically lost if the product isn’t whole or dismantled.

*Turbos are sold separately

You can also purchase an extended warranty for engine and transmissions. We charge a low price of 20% for 6 months and 30% for 1 year (Engines and Transmission).

ELECTRICAL PARTS

No warranty is offered on electrical parts unless purchased separately for a 30-day for a 20% charge on the part value for the following parts:

  • Throttle body
  • ECM
  • BCM or any type of electronic module (computer)

We do not guarantee or provide refunds on labor and parts installation performed by third parties.

Tapatio Auto Parts is not liable for any damages caused by misuse, incorrect installation, modification of the product, accidents, neglect, or normal wear and tear.

RADIATORS AND HEATER CORES

Used radiators and heater cores are guaranteed not to leak and to operate effectively for 30 days. We do not guarantee or provide refunds on labor and installation of parts performed by third parties.

Our warranty does not cover the following:

  • Claims that result from overheating, accident, abuse, neglect, alteration, improper maintenance or improper installation.
  • Fluids, gaskets, seals, filters, hoses or other materials and parts used in the installation process are not warranted. Those materials are also at buyers’ expense.
  • Labor.

CORE

A Core is the damaged part from your vehicle that must be returned with the same accessories as the purchased one IF NOT, ADDITIONAL FEES MAY APPLY.

If you are a Mechanic, Tapatio Auto Parts suggests that you inform your customers of this policy.

Any core that is going to be return to waive the core fee, must comply with the following:

  • Parts MUST be in a complete state.
  • Parts MUST be the same model as the purchased one.
  • Include the same accessories as the purchased one.

A 10% will be charged when purchasing the part

  • Engine Assy
  • Transmision
  • Hybrid battery

A CORE fee (Specified by sales representative) will be charge for:

  • Wheel Rim
  • Steering gear Rack
  • Alternator
  • Starter Motor
  • AC Compressor

RETURNS

Defective parts are guaranteed for OVER-THE-COUNTER REPLACEMENT only.

  • If there is a problem with a part that falls under warranty, the buyer should contact us as soon as possible after noticing the problem.
  • You may not continue to use the part in need of warranty replacement.
  • You must notify Tapatio Auto Parts, by email, mail, or phone before you return a part in person for any reason, whether or not it is a warranty concern.

Only if a replacement is not available money will be refunded.

All returns must be accompanied by a copy of the original invoice.

Tapatio Auto Parts is not liable for any damages caused by misuse, incorrect installation, modification of the product, shipping damage, accidents, neglect, or normal wear.

Returned parts must be in the same condition as when sold and warranty is void if the part has been disassembled.

All parts must be marked with the company’s original markings and stamps.

We reserve the right to refuse a return on any item that does not meet these requirements.

Refunds return may vary due to mechanical inspection of return parts and might be subject to a 20% restocking fee.

All money refunds over the counter will be with the same payment method, if it were with a credit card, the refund will be made to the same credit card, with no exceptions. Any other type of payment will receive a check issued the following Monday.

If you are a delivery client (Mechanical shop), all money refunds will be made on your credit card or check that will be issued the following Monday.
